Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” shows a catchy title. It has a taste of bravery mixed with full confidence. There is nothing Pollyanna regarding it. I might not support every part he tells, but he’s our president, as well as for me, he creates confidence. That may do more for just a nation than any number of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I used to be a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity is just not over. I’ve come across the quips of those who don’t think Obama is capable of it. But step back a moment. Would anyone have all of us fail simply to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Keeping our priorities straight, let’s work together with our president and build our future.

I agree. The versus should go by at a nice clip. The pacing on the chorus is good. Need some big harmonies on the chorus. I love the drumming but it might be competing a bit with the vocals. Also liked the vocals on the first version better.

yeah… the vocals arent as strong as the first time we recorded this in part because its recorded a half-step lower than the first. Also, there are parts that are really good but other parts you cant understand what you’re saying… I think its really important for this song to understand all the lyrics… Jack said you were coughing and not feeling well.. get better and try it again.. I hope were not talking about the drums Jack was using for the click track… Please tell me thats not what you guys think sounds good… Just when I think you’re starting to get it…. uhg!

michael how about a horn in between the parts that don’t have choruses it seems a bit empty in those parts especially after you hear the tune once or twice. i’m not thrilled with the vocals either. jack? craig? what do you think of the vocal stylings?

i also is the drum intro i wasn’t kidding when i said you could extend that and people wouldn’t mind!

I really miss the intro electronic drums. Another Vocal track from Medicine?… this sounds like a scratch track.

What !!?? Craig and I agree!!!

Yeah it just does not work with her vocals.
We can add some sound effects like the “flock of seagals”, but other than that it is pretty much a track waiting to be mastered. Oh and once again we need to use a click track. It is very fast in the beginning and very slow at the end. Most people won’t notice it. On the guitar solo it need to fade out, this is right after the disco part. You can hear the static/distortion.
