   I like this one. Can you tell me the chords. I think it needs a String section added as well.
   The Chorus is very powerful stuff. I would hate to overdo Theremin but it may also work on this one too! or maybe just a Moog sound. We have a keyboardist who has expressed interest in doing some tracks with us. He would be great on this track. Is that cool? He’s Velevt Rut’s hired gun. Richard played with us on Saturday at Cherry Hills Country Club.

   We started recording and the Drums, Guitars and Horns are done. It sounds amazing. Better than Sin City. Slick is the word.

   We have the Lyrics, so no worries. Jack Kennedy laid a sweet vocal track. He sort of sounds like Neil Diamond. MP3 coming soon. We still need you to do the final touches and if you want to sing thats cool too. This song has a lot of potential. I added some hooks, that you won’t ever forget.

    For the record record it will never be a matter of if I want to sing as the main reason i write the tunes is to sing them but I am excited about the prospect of Jaq and I’s voice melding.
    I have always wanted to do a psycho Simon and Garfunkel record.

    I think we should rethink the guitar and horn parts. They were all over the vocals. I think the melody lines should be in between the vocals where there is some space. Also, maybe keep it a little less busy to make room for keys. Jack and I spent most of the evening fixing the guitar and drum tracks so it was one and smooth. I did end up getting a bass track laid. I disagree about the better than Sin City comment….. Not even close. I think now that the bass and drums are kosher, we should re-track the ryhthm guitar. Its a little off in some places. On a positive note, I liked the reverse wah idea on the solo. We should get together this weekend maybe.

    - I really liked it as is. The chorus melody needs to be powerful! Since Jack sang the wrong lyrics, the vocals will need to be redone with Jack Medicine.
    Lets all edit it together. Hopefully nothing was deleted.

    Oh – are we going to call ourselves “The” Velvet Rut or just Velvet Rut? Mr Medicine thinks that is should be THE VELVET RUT.

    I like the new look of the site.

    I liked the idea of the backwards solo, however, I think you could make it better. Sorry…. I think we keep getting ahead of ourselves on the recording process. Whatever the group decides I can live with…… I think.

    Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out. This is good…thanks for sharing
